Robert Schmidbauer
Commander 2022-Present - Army

Robert Schmidbauer deployed to Tikrit, Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Kabul, Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom as well as a tour in Panama and Sinai, Egypt. He served for over 32 years in the US Army as a Paralegal NCO and Legal Administrator (Warrant Officer), culminating his career as a senior instructor for the US Army Warrant Officer Career College, Fort Rucker, Alabama in the grade of Chief Warrant Officer Four. Robert has served in the VFW since 1997 and became a member of Post 6683 in 2017. He has served in numerous leadership positions including Senior Vice Commander of Post 7466 in 1998 and 1999. He served on the House committee of Post 6683 in 2020 and 2021. He was elected Post Commander of Post 6683 in April 2022.
