Rufus Glyn Martin, 84, of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Monday, August 21, 2017, at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. Born November 4, 1932 in Red Level, Alabama he was the only child of Rufus Hobson and Mary Inez "Nettie" Martin. He grew up in Red Level, Alabama and graduated from school there.

Glyn was a passionate man who worked hard up until the day of his illness. He started and owned Martins Mobile Home Court for over 50 years and took great pride in taking care of his renters. He also was an aircraft mechanic at Ft Rucker in his younger years. He was also an entrepreneur in many ventures in Enterprise.

He was a decorated Korean War veteran and lifetime member and supporter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars post 6683. He was also a member of the Free Masons.

One of his favorite hobbies was fishing whether salt water or fresh water. He also loved spending time at his house in Panama City Beach. He spent his last healthy day fishing at Lake Eufaula with his son, granddaughter Anna and some of his best friends. He took every opportunity to spend time with family and friends. Everyone who met him loved him.

Glyn was extremely proud of his three children. Janet Conaway and her husband Rick of Blue Ridge, Georgia. Son, Sam Martin, deceased. Son, Chad Martin and his wife Angelia of Dothan, Alabama. Glyn and his wife also raised their granddaughter Kelli Martin Watson (Ray) of Panama City Beach, Florida.

He is also survived by his loving wife of 64 years Mary Evelyn Martin, his granddaughters Kelli Watson, Jessica Conaway and Anna Marie Martin. Also his great grandson Parker Watson. As well as many loving friends and family.

Glyn was preceded in death by his parents and son, Sam.
